The thickness was distributed mainly in 15~25 mm. among about 58% was distribute in 15~20 mm, about 43.5% was distribute in 20~25 mm. As for Ⅰ-type Jinxiang garlic, the length was mainly distributed in 30-35 mm accounting for 77%. The width was distributed mainly in 20-25 mm accounting for 56%. The thickness was distributed in 15-25 mm, among about 24% was distribute in 15-20 mm, and about 64% was distribute in 20-25 mm. As for Ⅱ-type Jinxiang garlic, the length was distributed in 30-35 mm accounting for 54%, the width was mainly distributed in 10-20 mm, among 45% was distributed in 45%, and 54% was distributed in 15-20 mm. The thickness was distributed mainly in 15-20 mm accounting for 61%. The dimensions of garlic seeds were measured by 150 seeds randomly from these samples, measuring their length L, width W and thickness D with Vernier Callipers, then calculating the average parameters as followingwhere L is garlic seed length, mm; W is garlic seed width, mm; D is garlic seed thickness, mm; is average length of garlic seed, mm; is average width of rice seed, mm; is average thickness of rice seed, mm.The length distribution of Lanling garlic seeds were uniform and concentrate, but width and thickness had a difference. The average of length, width and thickness were 37.16 mm, 19.77 mm and 22.27 mm respectively. The difference on overall size of Jinxiang garlic seed was obvious, the size average of Ⅰ-type Jinxiang garlic seed were 33.77 mm, 19.99 mm and 21.68 mm respectively, and the size average of Ⅱ-type Jinxiang garlic seeds were 32.45 mm, 13.61 mm and 17.74 mm.
