Yanshan University was founded in 1970, and now has three campuses: the old campus, the west campus and the graduate school. At present, the west campus is under construction. Yanshan University now has a 35kV transformer substation with two S11-16000/35 main transformers installed in the substation. The normal operation mode is one main transformer and one standby transformer. The power supply is led from the booster station of xx Power Plant by double-circuit 35kV lines. In 2010, the maximum load of 35kV substation of Yanshan University was 2100kW. According to the feasibility study report of the 110kv power supply scheme for the west campus of Yanshan University, a 110kV substation needs to be built in the west campus of Yanshan University as a regional power supply substation. Upon completion, the substation will supply power to the existing 35kV transformer in the old campus, the 35kV transformer in the new graduate school and the west campus.
