Houston (Platts)--04Sep2020/303 pm EST/1903 GMT S&P Global Platts assessed US spot export MEG prices 1 cent/lb higher on the week at 21-22 cents/lb FOB USG, in line with indications heard in the market. The September US MEG contract price was assessed at 24.76-25.26 cents/lb FOB, up 1.96 cents from the August assessment of 22.80-23.30 cents/lb FOB. The contract price reflects a 3-cent increase in the September US benchmark contract price, and higher Asia contract price (ACP) nominations, based on a weighted formula that discounts the North American benchmark price by 15% and the ACP average by 5%, with each segment equally weighted, according to market feedback.
