Today's seismic reinforcement technologies mainly include: base isolation and energy dissipation. A device to block the upward transmission of earthquakes is added to the part where the underground foundation is in contact with the above-ground structure. This technique is called foundation isolation. This technology blocks the transmission of vibration energy from the earthquake to the upper body, thereby reducing the impact of the earthquake on the structure. In the past, the method of seismic fortification relied on the ductility of the structure itself to dissipate the seismic response. Even so, the main structure of the structure will be partially damaged when it encounters a strong earthquake. It is against this background that energy dissipation and shock absorption technology has been developed. Adding various dampers to the structure can dissipate most of the energy transmitted by the earthquake to the superstructure, thereby protecting the main structure from damage.
