3.0 PART LEVELS3.1 PART LEVELS INTRODUCTIONPart Levels are designed as a simple way of determining which parts1. Need custom engineered packagingor2. Can be packaged using off the shelf materials using SOPsor3. Are Bulk MaterialsLevel 1 parts need to be identified early in the development phase. Custom packaging development takes more time and requires drawings and release. Parts and materials that can utilize stock packaging materials do not require engineering services.Note: For a part to be classified as Level 1, 2 or 3, it is enough for it to meet one or more attribute/s and not necessarily all. Order of classification must always be 1 to 3.
