4.1.4 Copper conductors4.1.4.1 GeneralThe requirements of Clauses 4.1.4.2 or 4.1.4.3 shall apply to solid conductors or the individual wires ofstranded conductors prior to stranding. If the insulation adjacent to a copper conductor is of a material thatcorrodes unprotected copper, as determined by the requirement in Clause 5.7, or if a protective separatorin compliance with Clause 4.1.8 is not provided, the solid conductor and each of the individual strands ofa stranded conductor shall be separately covered with a coating as described in Clause 4.1.4.2.
