In view of the phenomenon of "Involution" in reading promotion of University Libraries in a period and a certain area, this paper analyzes the causes of "Involution" mainly in the following aspects: insufficient funds for running the library, homogenization of promotion methods, high opening and low opening in the promotion process, and lack of promotion organization and system. This paper summarizes and refines the reading promotion experience of 64 University Libraries in the "national reading demonstration base". To solve the "Involution", measures should be taken to ensure the timely and full investment of library funds, create high-level, innovative and challenging promotion, carry out process quality diagnosis and reform, and strengthen the construction of promotion system.<br>
