The appropriate density [9] is very important for the PTCR devices via the reduction–reoxidation process. Low density will cause high room temperature resistivity and poor mechanical strength of PTCR ceramics, while high density will cause poor reoxidation of PTCR ceramics via reduction–reoxidation process. To the best of our knowledge, there are no publications on the regulation of the density of BaTiO3 PTCR ceramics via tape casting by changing the binder amounts, though only a few papers on the changes in the density of BaTiO3 ceramics via doping BN or SiO2 in the original powders [10].
