The prophet Isaiah used the image of a tree to describe God's plan for salvation. Originally it was cut down, but only the trunk was left, but under God's care, it sprouted. In the background at that time, the tree trunk was the tragic result of the king's family. In our life, the tree trunk might refer to something that was hopeless or difficult to overcome. God's word to the prophet is a word of hope. He will sprout the trunk that seems to have no vitality. He will promote a new beginning. However, this bud grows in the dark; it is a small root of hope in prayer and heart (1). Don't give up praying because it has no effect. In fact, prayer will change people's life, let the God of God come down to us (2) and change the relationship between us and people (3): even if you are like a wolf, you will learn to live in harmony with others like a lamb. The reason is that the God of God fills us bit by bit: "the earth is full of knowledge of the Lord, like the sea overflowing with the sea.". The hope of the coming day is to believe that the Lord will fill you and me more fully, until people all over the world become a big family by knowing God.<br>
