Objective To observe the clinical effect of pricking blood and cupping combined with acupuncture in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis of humerus (wind-cold collateral obstruction type), and to judge the therapeutic effect of lateral epicondylitis of humerus (wind-cold collateral obstruction type) by combining the imaging analysis of visual analogue scale (VAS) and color Doppler ultrasound. Methods 110 patients with lateral epicondylitis of humerus (wind-cold blocking collateral type) were randomly divided into observation group and control group (55 cases in each group). The observation group was treated with pricking blood and cupping combined with acupuncture, while the control group was treated with microwave instrument, with a total course of 21 days in each group. The lateral elbow joint pain degree visual analogue scale (VAS) and color Doppler ultrasound were used to measure the hydrops and supinator thickness of all patients before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate and cure rate of the observation group were 100% and 72.73%, which were significantly better than those of the control group (72.73% and 10.91%). After treatment, the amount of effusion and the thickness of supinator in the observation group decreased significantly, with significant differences (P
