6.2Vibration Test6.2.1Place the MCTN to be tested on the vibration table in the orientation in which it would be normally shipped (biggest surface on the table) 6.2.2Set the vibration frequency of the table at the minimum speed sufficient to allow the shim to be placed 4 inches (10.16 cm) between the bottom of the MCTN and the top of the vibration table. This distance is marked on the flat portion of the shim, from the edge to a black line scribed across its width (see photo 1 and 2). The shim should also be capable of being moved intermittently along the longest edge of the MCTN.6.2.3Record this frequencyPhotos 1 (left) and 2: Looking down on the vibration table, photo 1 (left) shows the shim on the vibration table prior to determining the proper vibration frequency. Note the line scribed indicating the minimum insertion depth required to determine the proper vibration frequency. Photo 2 (right) shows the shim in the minimum insertion depth.
