Linear and round indications are used as evaluation criteria for the quality of surfaces.Indications with dimensions smaller than 0.5 mm are not taken into account in the evaluation. The following definitions apply for the different indications:1) Linear indications are indications with a length / width ratio ≥ 3.2) Lines of more than 4 single indications are evaluated as linear indications if the distancebetween adjacent indications is ≤ 2 mm.3) Indications are evaluated as accumulations if more than 5 indications are found in acircular area with a diameter D. The size of the individual indications is irrelevant as longas the criteria for single defects are not exceeded.
