Based on the development and current situation of power system component protection and calculation technology based on the transmission group, combined with the adjustment work of a power station, this paper focuses on the analysis and calculation of the fault analysis and calculation method of the generator transformer and the main protection, puts forward some general design ideas about the power system protection and calculation software of the variable group, and studies the power system component protection program to realize the software. The feasibility and effectiveness of the program are demonstrated by the simulation of MATLAB software.<br>Its main contents and specific chapters are arranged as follows:<br> Chapter 1 introduces in detail the background of the research work on the calculation of relay protection and adjustment of power system components, which is mainly based on the generator transformer group, as well as the purpose and significance, and analyzes the development status of relevant adjustment software at home and abroad and the advantages and disadvantages of the main software.<br>Chapter 2 first expounds some basic methods and theories of power system relay protection, and provides the necessary calculation basis for power system relay protection. <br>Chapter 3 elaborates the principles and methods of short-circuit calculation of power system components based on the variable group, starting from the structural characteristics of the generator, and focuses on the analysis of the modeling, simulation and calculation of the temporary short-circuit current inside the generator, as well as the establishment of the equivalent circuit model of the transformer.<br> Chapter 4 introduces the principles and methods of generator transformer group protection configuration, and analyzes the protection and adjustment methods of generators and transformers respectively.<br> Chapter 5 first describes the function of the set-up calculation software and the general step process of the variable group relay protection calculation. Then, a simple program based on power system protection and consolidation is written, and the simulation results are analyzed by MATLAB.
