Automated measurement using the novel image analysis software a2DQ on the Philips EPIQ System produced accurate, efficient, and reproducible assessment of LV volumes and LVEF compared with manual measurement. The EPIQ System as other Philips and non-Philips ultrasound systems were used successfully for transthoracic echocardiograms.Identification of the early systolic notching (ESN) pattern on echocardiography demonstrated good to excellent predictive ability for massive pulmonary embolism (MPE) or submassive pulmonary embolism (SMPE), with sensitivity of 92%, specificity of 99%.
