3.5 Advanced Setting For Touch-Panel Extraction3.5.1 Resistance CalculationThe resistance calculation needs to define start location and end location to calculate resistance. There are three methods to define the start and end location:Auto-detect by boundary, direction control file and by label as shown in Figure 3‑19. Figure 3‑19 Start/End select mode l Auto Detect User can use Auto Detect to define Start and End ports location. In this mode, the pattern cut by boundary layer is defined as start or end port. There must be two ports to compute resistance for one net. l Direction control fileUser can define direction file to specify the “start” location and “end” location of the net. The format of the direction file is defined as followed:The location only can be defined as the direction of four boundaries:TOP - the top of boundaryBOTTOM - the bottom of boundaryLEFT – the left of boundaryRIGHT – the right of boundary The format pin direction file:The first line can be notes: notes start with “#”.# File notesFor every line: Net name supports matching operator name.If one net has multiple definitions, the last definition will be valid. For example:R* TOP BOTTOMT* LEFT RIGHTRX* TOP RIGHT For net “TX”, the start to end is defined as LEFT to RIGHT.For net “RX”, the start to end is defined as TOP to RIGHT, but not TOP to BOTTOM. l By labelUser can define the start and end location by labels.The label name requirement:a) It should be same with the net name or can be use “netname@name” as the label name to define a group label name.b) The number of label or label group must be more than 2 or equal to 2.c) If “only in top cell” checker is chosen, labels only in top cell can be used.If the numbers of label or label group are more than 2, the resistance between every two labels or label groups will be computed. The example is show in Figure 3‑20, the label group “RX@START” will be defined as one port and the label group “RX@END” will be defined as another port.
