2.2.5. Intrinsic dissolution rate (IDR) experimentsIDR experiments were performed by rotating disk method. 100 mg of the solid (INH, SYA and the cocrystal) was taken in an intrinsic attachment. A 0.5 cm2 pellet was pressed using a hydraulic press at 45 MPa for 2 min. The pellet provides a flat surface at one side and the other side was sealed. The pellet was dipped into 500 mL pH 7.4 buffer mediums with 70 rpm paddle rotating at 37 °C. At different intervals for 2 h, 5 mL of the dissolution medium was withdrawn and replaced by an equal volume of fresh medium. The samples were filtered through 0.45 µm nylon filter and assayed for drug content samples using high performance liquid chromatography.
