Floating board capillary cultivation technique (FCH) is a new soilless cultivation system developed by Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Nanjing Agricultural University in 1991, referring to Japan's floating root method. Floating-board capillary cultivation technology creates an oxygen-enriched environment by cultivating wet roots, thus improving the oxygen supply conditions of roots. Part of the root system floats on the wet felt of floating plate in the tank, which is thick and short, and can absorb oxygen in the air, which plays a role in improving the oxygen supply of the whole root system; Part of root system grows in nutrient solution, which is slender and mainly plays the role of absorbing nutrients and water, thus overcoming the problem of easy hypoxia in rhizosphere environment of DFT system.
