Select the Input and Output pair and observe their impulse response. The impulse response of the thickness is about 3 samples slower than the impulse response of the diameter. This is because the thickness is measured after the diameter. The negative impulse response from drawing speed to diameter and thickness indicate that an increase in drawing speed leads to a smaller diameter and thickness. The positive impulse response from mandrel pressure to diameter indicates that increasing the pressure leads to an increase of diameter. This example shifts the signals to compensate the delays so that you can use lower order of model to describe the system sufficiently.
