SENSING ELEMENT DESIGNThere are two major external factors to decide thesensing performance. One is target wheel configuration, and the other is air gap range that defines as theclearance between target wheel and sensor tip. In here, control strategies of each OEM and engine applicationsmake the wide varieties of diameter, tooth and slotpatterns on target wheel. And also, complicatedinstallation design requires rotation sensor to haveaccurate sensing for wider air gap range. Therefore, the major point for sensing element design isto increase the flexibility of target wheel configurationsand air gap range with improving detecting sensitivities. Our new generation rotation sensor proposes 4 MREsensing design that has symmetrical layout to thecenterline of cylindrical magnet as shown in Figure 6. Inaddition, Figure 7 shows circuit diagram of 4 MREsensing. MRE A and MRE D, which locate the outside ofsensing chip make a Wheatstone bridge and other 2 ofMRE B and MRE C connect another Wheatstone bridge. Then, 2 stages differential amplifiers make comparatorinput (Vd) from middle point voltage of each MRE (VA toVD)
