The translation theory proposed by American translator Eugene Nida has a wide-ranging influence in the translation world. His concept of translation equivalence in 1964 mainly includes two aspects: dynamic equivalence and formal equivalence. Among them, dynamic equivalence requires that both the style and semantics should be reproduced in translation, and formal equivalence requires that the information contained in the translation object be transmitted as consistently as possible. Eugene Nida emphasizes dynamic equivalence. On the basis of this theory, he also summarized the Functional Equivalence Theory has an important influence on the translation.
