2.3.21 Crash-impact resistance test (1) Test A sample of the connector with male and female counterparts assembled shall be used to apply impacts of 1960, 3920, 5880 and 9800 m/s2 in each of the direction shown in Fig.2.3.7. Electricity shall be applied under the conditions specified in 2.3.4 Impact resistance. The crash-impact resistance, however, shall be defined for a 0.76um thick gold-plated connector (-2Au type). For tin-plated and 0.38um thick gold-plated products, the data shall be taken for reference only. (2) Performance With the impact applied, the connector shall not have a voltage fluctuate (instantaneously) beyond 1V for 10us. or more. And it shall be free from abnormality in appearance.
