Personnel detection means shall be so designed that trucks shall stop before contact between the rigid parts of the truck or load and a stationary person (not a person stepping into the truck path or moving toward it) and comply with 5.2 or in case of contact they shall be designed such that forces shall not exceed the values of 5.2. In turning direction and in pivoting direction, for the truck side protection measures, compliance with 5.2 Test B is sufficient.
