For the deduced deflection profiles of P2o6D, as shown in Fig. 5, the leading and trailing piles behave similarly along the length of the piles, and negligible group effects can be assumed for pile groups spaced at 6 D. From the deflected shapes near the pile head, it can also be found that, in contrast to P1, the relatively large 2 m-thick pile cap of P2o6D provides a much higher rotational restraint, and this pile group can be considered to be a fixed-head pile group.
