4.1.3 Figure 4 is an example of a requirement for more precise location of the first spot-weld of a series of spot-welds. The first spot-weld location is determined by dimensioning. Use of the "flush" symbol to specify a requirement for "no indentation" is also illustrated. In this example, the flush symbol is shown below the reference line to indicate "no indentation" permitted on the "arrow side" of the joint. It may be applied above the reference line to indicate "no indentation" permitted on the "other than arrow side" of the joint, or it may be applied both above and below the reference line.
