The BB270 mixer with water used in the TCU can be taken to 93°C C (200 ° F) without problem. We have a couple of mixers that have tempered oil to control the temperature and these two plants are using temperatures up to 116°C (240°F) without problems. The only thing you should be concerned about is the rate of temperature change, when changing temperatures. This rate of change should not be any more than 3.3°C per minute, to avoid thermal shock to the metal. When changing temperatures, maximum temperature between mixer inlet & outlet should not be any higher than 11°C (20° F)If 75°C works better with the Halassic, use it. If 90°C works even better, use it. These temperatures can also be used on the mill.
