Common methods for removing formaldehyde mainly include catalytic oxidation, activated carbon adsorption, plasma high temperature, and photocatalysis. This thesis uses catalytic oxidation to remove formaldehyde, a method that utilizes the ability of catalysts to activate oxygen to completely convert formaldehyde into non-toxic and harmless CO2 and H2O. In this paper, two types of catalysts, noble metal catalysts (Pt/C3N4) and non-noble metal catalysts (Co-Nx/C), were prepared for the catalytic oxidation of formaldehyde, and their effects were explored through a series of characterization methods. The mechanism and reaction mechanism provide research directions and ideas for efficient purification of formaldehyde at room temperature.
