The common methods to remove formaldehyde mainly include catalytic oxidation, activated carbon adsorption, plasma high temperature, photocatalysis and so on. In this paper, the catalytic oxidation method is used to remove formaldehyde, which is a method that uses the ability of catalyst to activate oxygen to completely convert formaldehyde into nontoxic and harmless CO2 and H2O. In this thesis, two types of catalysts, noble metal catalyst (Pt/C3N4) and non-noble metal catalyst (Co-Nx/C), were prepared for catalytic oxidation of formaldehyde, and their action mechanism and reaction mechanism were explored through a series of characterization methods, which provided research directions and ideas for efficient purification of formaldehyde at room temperature.
