There are different classifications of the types of negotiations, such as by the number of participants, where they took place, the transparency of the negotiations, the content of the negotiations, etc. This chapter divides negotiations into two broad categories according to the number of parties involved in the negotiations and the number of events and interests involved: one is the two-way negotiation, which can also be called win-lose negotiations, the main characteristics of which are the participation of the single and only two parties involved in the negotiations, and the other is complex negotiations, the main characteristics of which are multiple events and multi-party participation.
