Christmas, also known as the "Jesus Day", translated as "Christ Mass", originated from the Ancient Romans to welcome the New Year's Day of the Agricultural Gods, while celebrating the birth of Jesus. Most Catholic churches hold a midnight mass on Christmas Eve on 24 December, or 25 December, while some Christian churches celebrate Christmas on 25 December, and the Orthodox Christmas Day, another branch of Christianity, is celebrated on 7 January each year.
