FIG 4 is a 3.3Zn alloy second phase, the morphology of view, it is not significantly different and 18R in FIG. 3, but the diffraction pattern (FIG. 4c) is entirely different, calibrated, the second phase to 14H [8]. Therefore, in the alloy containing Zn, we find that the long period, there are two phases, including 18R and 14H. For long-period phase, Li et al [3] was observed only in the Mg-Gd-Yb-Zn alloy to 14H, not detected 18R. And Zhu et al [8] found that in the Mg-Y-Zn alloys cast 14H and 18R can be two kinds of long-period phase coexist.
