Quality Assurance (QA) can be defined as a series of planned actions necessary toprovide the customer with the product that they expect. Quality assurance is a proactiveprocess which attempts to stop error happening in the process allowing it to be“rightfirst time”. It involves using the HACCP to identify the areas of concern - the rightcontrol points to be evaluated at corrective actions put in place and the documentationsupporting this to be recorded and kept in case of problems later on.
