The establishment of a sustainable catering industry is the common goal of mankind, that is, to develop the economy while avoiding the excessive consumption of natural resources. The present report describes strategies, organizations, initiatives, plans, management systems and objectives to ensure sustainability in three broad areas within the GRI framework. Both Burger King and McDonald's have performed well in their overall business sustainability, particularly in the economy. But they should make greater efforts to improve the environment in order to minimize emissions and the negative effects of waste generation, waste and consumption of natural resources.
