In recent years, with the impact of global warming, air conditioning has become one of the most commonly used household appliances. This paper mainly introduces the research and design of an air conditioning remote control system based on STC89C52 MCU. The control system includes STC89C52 MCU main control module, MAX232 serial communication module, electromagnetic relay module, temperature acquisition module (DS18B20), LCD display module and virtual terminal module. By using the serial communication function of single chip microcomputer, the control command is sent from the virtual terminal, and the data is transmitted to the single chip microcomputer through the MAX232 serial communication module, so as to control the on-off of the electromagnetic relay, so as to simulate the remote control of air conditioning switch, air conditioning refrigeration and heating operation, and achieve the purpose of remote control of air conditioning.<br>The system can detect the indoor temperature in real time, and users can control the air conditioner manually and automatically according to their needs. Manual control means that the air conditioner can be turned on manually regardless of the temperature; automatic control means that the upper and lower limits of a temperature can be set arbitrarily. If the indoor temperature exceeds the upper limit, the air conditioner will cool; if it is lower than the lower limit, the air conditioner will heat. In this paper, several different design schemes of the control system are proposed, and the various schemes are analyzed in detail. On this basis, a set of feasible and valuable schemes are formed, and the feasibility of the scheme is simulated.<br>
