The gasoline vapor in the tank is piped from the steam separation valve outlet into the vapor recovery tank. The function of the steam separation valve is to prevent the fuel in the tank from leaking from the steam pipe when the car tilts. The vapor recovery tank is filled with activated carbon particles, so it is also called "activated carbon tank". Activated carbon can adsorb the gasoline molecules in the gasoline vapor. When the gasoline vapor in the tank enters the vapor recovery tank through the pipeline, the gasoline molecules in the vapor are adsorbed on the surface of the activated carbon particles, and the remaining air is discharged into the atmosphere through the outlet of the vapor recovery tank.
