CONCLUSION A non-invasive device, the Cutometer® is a valuable equipment to evaluate effects of topically applied formulations on skin mechanical properties. This study shows that 1) the results obtained (R0) do not show any significant effects on skin firmness or biological elasticity (R7); 2) the changes in skin viscoelasticity (R6) and gross elasticity (R2) are probably due to skin hydration and improved plasticity of the epidermis (corneal layer). Continuation of this study in non-healthy volunteers isessential to verify the potential of this formulation in such subjects.
