Another kind of issue is related to steer returnability. When exiting from a turn, releasing the steering wheel should result in the steering wheel itself returning to its central position even without action from the driver, bringing the vehicle back to the straight-ahead direction thanks to the selfaligning actions acting on the tyre contact patch. A high dynamic friction, perhaps combined with a non-sporty suspension/steering geometry (such as low castor angle and/or longitudinal trail), can result in a residual angle at the end of the manoeuvre. This tendency can easily lead to a very poor driving feel.
