Biology is a science to study the life phenomena and the law of life activities. At the same time, it is also an experimental subject with observation and experiment as the basic research methods. Therefore, in the teaching of biology, we should cultivate students' creative thinking, so that students can better "digest" what they have learned in time. For example, in the experiment of "extraction and separation of pigments in green leaves" in Chapter 5, section 4, source of energy light and photosynthesis, a compulsory course for senior high school biology, the human education edition, students found that it is not easy to draw the filtrate fine line evenly with a capillary straw, or even sometimes the paper will be cut. At this point, I asked: "can you find a more suitable marking tool or method to replace the capillaries? Can you replace spinach with other vegetables? How is the effect?" and so on. By recalling the principle and purpose of the experiment, the students thought that the edge of the slide could be used to draw the fine line of filtrate and the green tender leaves could be used as the experimental materials. It not only stimulates students' innovative thinking, but also cultivates students' experimental ability.
