The program for the disposal of portable equipment was launched in 2018 by Samsung Electronics. Users can hand over old gadgets and accessories for recycling in any of the company's service centers throughout Russia, which have special eco-boxes installed. As part of the program, smartphones, tablets, chargers, and headsets for mobile devices are accepted for recycling. The project is part of the Samsung Electronics Re+ global initiative, which aims to protect the environment and support the cyclical economy, in particular the collection and disposal of electronic waste. In the future, Samsung plans to use only fiber materials that have been certified by international organizations: The Forest Stewardship Council (the FSC), the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (the PEFC), and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (the SFI) for the production of packaging and booklets.
