With the popularization of higher education in our country, the individual differences of college students are increasing, which brings great difficulty to the basic physics course teaching in universities. According to the specific situation of students and the requirements of teaching organizations, layered teaching is an important means to ensure the quality of teaching. Rasch model is a probability model that simultaneously estimates the difficulty of the project and individual ability, in this paper, taking the three mechanics tests of undergraduates at Tsinghua University in 2019 as an example, using Rasch analysis software WINSTEPS and SPSS to measure and analyze the experimental results of stratification teaching, the results of which are preliminary tests: student ability level Project difficulty level; it was found that the test questions used in the physics layered teaching of the university were generally high-quality examination papers, the test items covered all the ability level of the examination, the difficulty preparation was reasonable, and the vast majority of the questions reached the expected test results. It is proved that stratification teaching can improve the teaching effect of physics in universities, improve the overall level of students and improve the enthusiasm of students to study.
