In the recent year microwave assisted org. synthesis (MAOS) has emerged as a new tool in org. synthesis.  This technique offers simple, clean, fast, efficient, and economic method for the synthesis of a large no. of org. mols.  Important advantage of this technol. over conventional synthesis include highly accelerated rate of the reaction, redn. in reaction time with an improvement in the yield and quality of the product.  Now a day this technique is considered as an important approach toward green chem., because this technique is more environmentally friendly.  This technol. is still under-​used in the lab. and has the potential to have a large impact on the fields of screening, combinatorial chem., medicinal chem. and drug development.
