FDA announced its adoption of final regulationsto ensure the safe and sanitary processing of fishand fishery products in the Federal Register ofDecember 18, 1995 (60 FR 65096) (hereinafterreferred to as the Seafood HACCP Regulation). Thisguidance, the Seafood HACCP Regulation (21 CFR123), and the Control of Communicable Diseasesregulation (21 CFR 1240) apply to all aquatic animallife, other than birds and mammals, used as foodfor human consumption.
