The overcurrent protection (OCP) is a protectionagainst large inrush currents (i.e., high di/dt). Figure12-14 is an internal circuit diagram describing the OCPpin and its peripheral circuit. The OCP pin detects overcurrents with voltage acrossexternal shunt resistors, RSx. Because the OCP pin isinternally pulled down, the OCP pin voltage increasesproportionally to a rise in the currents running through theshunt resistors, RSx.
