Up for auction is this SARD US Navy Mark 43, 6x42 Super Wide Angle binocular. This binocular offers a super-bright 7mm exit pupil through a set of HUGE PRISMS, and a nearly 12° real field of view. This binocular is in good used condition. This binocular has recently been serviced at Suddarth Optical, so the optics are clean and collimated, and the binocular has been professionally re-skinned. The focusers also move smoothly and easily for precise focusing. Images are excellent, and are actually breathtaking when this binocular is used for astronomy. It provides the widest and brightest night sky images I have ever seen. The lenses and prisms are coated, and the coatings are all mostly intact with only typical cleaning marks that do not affect the image. There are no chips or cracks in the lenses or prisms, and there is no internal haze or fungus. There will be a few tiny specks on the prisms as well as a very faint artifact in the left eyepiece, but the performance is still excellent.
