In March, CPI was flat on a monthly basis. In addition, the industrial producer price index (PPI) rose 8.3% year-on-year in March, the lowest increase in 11 months, but still higher than the median market expectation of 7.9%. The increase during the period was 0.5 percentage points lower than that in February, mainly due to the high base in the same period last year. However, affected by the rise of international commodity prices and other factors, PPI increased by 1.1% month on month, 0.6 percentage points higher than that in February, the highest in five months.
