In order to achieve a smaller overall size of the mobile base station, the miniaturization of the filter is very necessary. Based on an asymmetric stepped impedance resonator (SIR), a miniaturized dual-band filter with two passband center frequencies and adjustable bandwidth is proposed. The design method of frequency band bandpass filter, using HFSS to design and simulate the dual-band filters of 0.9 GHz and 1.8 GHz for mobile base stations. The filter is based on the open SIR, plus 2 internal quasi-lumped stubs, and they resonate to produce 2 different passbands, of which 0.9 GHz is related to the parameter size of the external SIR, 1. The 8 GHz frequency depends on both external SIR and internal parameter size. The size of the filter is 24. 76 mm × 13. 5 mm (not including the length of the feeder at both ends). The experimental results show that the simulated S parameters are good, and the 3dB bandwidth also meets the index, which proves the feasibility of this method.
