Abstract: The paper presents the digital control system of a bidirectional DC / AC / DC converter, implemented in an FPGA device. To demonstrate proper operation of the entire system and two-way power transmission, selected results of laboratory investigations are presented and analyzed. By implementing the FPGA based solution, required nine waveforms, controlling MOSFET switches (9 control channels) were obtained as well as the desired frequency range of the control. The presented solution may be used in vehicles with hybrid propulsion or purely electric, where the low-voltage source (battery pack or super-capacitors) cooperate with high-voltage devices (electric motors, generators, high voltage battery stack).© 2018, IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control) Hosting by Elsevier Ltd.
