Ultrasonic measurement has the characteristics of high precision, low cost, convenience, and quick response, easy to achieve real-time control. Therefore, it has been widely used in the measurement of well depth, liquid level, pipeline length, mobile machine positioning and obstacle avoidance.<br>The timer is controlled by STC89C52 single chip microcomputer, and the measurement distance can be calculated by the round-trip time from sending ultrasonic to receiving ultrasonic sensor. Then the measured value will be displayed on LCD1602 LCD. When the distance is less than the set value, the voice of distance will be played in real time to remind users of safety. The propagation speed of ultrasonic will change with the change of temperature, so a temperature sensor is added to measure the real-time temperature, and the measurement error is reduced by temperature compensation.<br>
