In recent years, with the rapid development of science and technology, single chip microcomputer has gradually been favored by people. The use of single chip microcomputer needs to be combined with specific software and hardware structure. Vehicles can shuttle in an orderly way at intersections, and the automatic command system of traffic lights plays an important role here. The traffic flow of urban roads is large, and the phenomenon of "traffic jam" often occurs. It is very necessary to improve the traffic light control system at the traffic lights. Aiming at the situation of intersection congestion and road traffic congestion, the design of intelligent traffic light control system based on single chip microcomputer is proposed. The design of traffic light control system includes key control, time display and indicator light. Press the key to complete the setting of the system time, adjust the time data of traffic light transformation at the intersection, and switch to the emergency mode. Four groups of 2-bit integrated nixie tubes display the time data of each intersection. Four groups of traffic lights indicate the traffic status of the intersection. 8 groups of sidewalk traffic lights indicate the traffic status. Finally, the system completes the key control, time display, indicator control scheme, hardware and software design, and completes the physical production according to the theoretical design. The system functions are tested one by one, and the test results show that it fully meets the functional requirements of the original design.
