The most relevant aspects were a posi-tive association (statistically significant) between patients sensitized to lycium berries and sensitization to pollens, olive (Olea europaea), saltwort (Salsola spp.), and mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris). These latter four were among the top was 3.0 ppb, far below the toxic dose (Adams et al. 2006). It was demonstrated by densitometric thin layer chroma-tography (TLC) analysis that none of the toxic compounds were detected in fruits, leaves, stems, and roots of three lycium varieties (‘No. 1,’ ‘New Big,’ and ‘Amber Sweet Goji’) (Kokotkiewicz et al. 2017).
