Logistics Non-Conformities include all Transportation and Distribution Warehouse related Defects, e.g.: Damages during inbound transportation to distribution warehouses, warehouse damage, missing documents during warehouse receiving, Site Part Missing / Part Mismatch/ Part Damage related to warehouse handling, storage & transportation. Logistics Non-Conformities must be reported by either the Warehouse or the relevant OTR member to address & solve the issue as soon as possible.Why do we need standard Logistics Non-Conformity Reporting Process and Tool? The standardized process and tool help collecting and visualizing all Logistics Non-Conformities before the goods arrive to the Customer Site. In a such-cases like this, GEHC must act quickly to solve the issue(s) and fulfill the customer order in timely and appropriate manner. In case of any Site related Logistics Non-Conformity, GEHC needs to take corrective & preventive actions to avoid similar issues in the future.How is the Global Logistics Non-Conformity Reporting Process set up? The Global Order Fulfillment Digital & Process Excellence team has put together a Toolkit, containing Roles & Responsibility Matrix, SOP and Process Flow Map along with the Workflow Tool. The toolkit can be found here in Box. Based on the global toolkit, Global Order Fulfillment Digital & Process Excellence Team has setup a Global Logistics Non-Conformity Workflow – currently only for ASEAN and JAPAN regions. This workflow can be used to assign the issues to the relevant stakeholders and send reminders until the case gets solved.When will be the Logistics Non-Conformity Reporting Process implemented globally? The Logistics Non-Conformity process is created to help follow up any Transportation and Distribution Warehouse related defects and to provide better visibility to the recurring problems, therefore it is important to implement it in every region as soon as possible. The implementation of this Process has already started in ASEAN and Japan Regions with the help of the Global Order Fulfillment Process Excellence team. The Logistics Directors of the regions are important partners in this initiative and are committed to implement this process without causing any inconvenience to the Regional Priorities.The Order Fulfillment COE is also using the GE Communities page and a Yammer group for best practice sharing and online collaboration.
