Chapter 3 mentioned that in the vehicle-mounted wireless communication, the SCH channel is used for the communication of non-traffic safety messages, that is, the communication of traditional data services. It is precisely because of the existence of the SCH channel that it is possible for passengers to use the in-vehicle communication network for Internet access. However, due to the periodic switching of CCH and SCH channels, a certain amount of bandwidth is wasted, and it may have an adverse effect on the performance of upper-layer services. In this chapter, aiming at the problem of bandwidth waste on the SCH channel, a frame-length selection transmission strategy is proposed.
